It’s been an extraordinary March for downtown Princeton so far. We’re just over halfway through the month and we have already seen history-in-the-making two times in and around our little slice of heaven. First, Princeton’s Women’s Basketball team made history when they went undefeated during the regular season. Go Tigers! Then, Princeton’s Pi Day of the Century made history not only for mathematical reasons, but also for the record breaking number of Einstein’s, young and old, that showed up in Palmer Square for a full day of fun and learning.
Meanwhile, the McCarter Theater was awarded “Favorite Theater to See a Play” by the 2015 JerseyArts.com People’s Choice Awards and the Princeton University Art Museum was recognized as one of the “15 Best Small-Town Museums in the U.S.” by Fodor’s Travel.
As remarkable as the month started out, there’s still so much to look forward to. With the arrival of Spring this week, downtown Princeton will soon be astir with people strolling around town, window shopping, and outdoor dining.
At the Yankee Doodle Tap Room
April 1st marks the first day of Patio Seating at the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. The fresh air and ambience in combination with our exceptional service and new Spring menu aim to please. We are also very excited to announce the release of our Express Lunch Menu and our Evening Specialty Menu that offers a choice appetizer, entrée, and dessert for just $19.
At the bar, we are running our “Beers Around the World” and “I Made History” promotions. Participation is a clever way to try new spirits, get a T-shirt and discounts, and gain notoriety at the Yankee Doodle Tap Room and beyond. We’re also thrilled to host our first Bourbon Tasting of 2015 on April 15.
From Inside the Nassau Inn
Spring is a wonderful time of year not only visit downtown, but also to make memories. The vibrant colors of the season mixed with the area’s rich history makes it an amazing backdrop for meaningful life events such as graduations, weddings, reunions, bah mitzvahs, and communions, just to name a few. But, that’s not all. The Nassau Inn is also an ideal location for business meetings, seminars, trainings, and receptions.
While quaint and historic by appearance, our Inn is deceivingly commodious and state-of-the-art. We have 188 guest rooms and 13 reception areas. Our banquet facilities can accommodate events both large and small, from a group of 10 to a group of 250.
