Bridget & Valerie’s June 2017 Wedding
Bridget and Valerie met each other in 2009. At the time, gay marriage was not recognized federally, so even though they were in love, they never imagined that their marriage would be a possibility. Who would have thought that 8 years later, their wedding dreams would come true? On June 30th, 2017, Bridget and Valerie had their outdoor ceremony at the Nassau Inn, and it was everything they had wished for. Here is their #PrincetonLoveStory, as told by Bridget and Valerie! #MeantToBV
“Our wedding day at the Nassau Inn was a fairytale that came to life,” Bridget says. “We love Princeton for so many reasons. As big foodies, we enjoy trying out new restaurants and different types of food around town. We love how open and accepting everyone is in Princeton. We feel very comfortable being here, simply walking around and enjoying the atmosphere. We also love visiting historic spots and exploring interesting places to shop!”
“Bridget and I both love spending time in Princeton, whether it be having a nice romantic dinner or a few drinks at Yankee Doodle Tap Room, Triumph or Winberies,” says Valerie. We love shopping at the Farmhouse Store (now Homestead Princeton) and Kitchen Kapers for new kitchen gadgets, as we love spending time together cooking for our family and friends! We also enjoy grabbing a drink at Starbucks and ice cream at the Bent Spoon (Valerie’s favorite dessert). We love Princeton more and more each time we come back! The scenery and ambiance throughout the day is perfect for a nice relaxing day with the love of your life.”
“Our wedding day was truly a whirlwind of excitement. Bridget and the girls were off to the salon for hair and makeup, while I made sure all was well at the Nassau Inn. Melissa and Natasha were absolutely amazing and did everything they could possibly do to make our day perfect. They both kept us calm and extremely happy! We enjoyed the after party at our favorite Yankee Doodle Tap Room all night before heading to bed upstairs at the Nassau Inn. When we woke up in the morning, we had to pinch ourselves, because of all of dreams came true!”
“Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That’s relativity.” – Albert Einstein
“Bridget and Valerie are beyond blessed to have each other! I am so grateful that I could be a part of their special day and bring their wedding dreams to life!”
