Dana & Robert’s June 2017 Wedding

Dana and Robert got married here in June. This is the story of how our #NassauBride & #NassauGroom fell in love, as told by the bride!

“After we met through our mutual friend, we started dating on weekends because he lived in North Jersey and I lived in Central,” says Dana.  “We enjoyed the same things, really.  We both like animals, we enjoyed going on walks together, we enjoyed cooking and eating together, we enjoyed being foodies together and taking special trips to NYC to find and eat good food. We eventually moved in together and realized that even together all the time we still got along very well and our love continued to grow.  He eventually proposed to me one morning in April at Long Branch on the Boardwalk.  We were the only people there walking along the boardwalk because it was misty and kind of cool and the next thing I know he is down on one knee proposing.  It was very sweet and perfect.”

“What were our favorite parts about our wedding and the setting? I absolutely loved the fact that the Nassau Inn isn’t a wedding factory.  There is nothing worse to me than a giant cold impersonal reception hall.  I wanted a smaller venue and it was a huge bonus that it was smack in the middle of Princeton where there is plenty to look at, do, and eat.  It’s such a cute location for friends and family to come celebrate with us.  I loved the back patio.  I really wanted to get married there so I was happy we could book the bigger room with our smaller wedding and that the wedding held out so we could actually get married out there.  The setting made the ceremony that much more special.  I liked the proximity to the University as a back drop for pictures.  As you can see, our photographer made good use of the University for interesting picture settings. Oddly enough it never occurred to me that people off the street would watch our wedding outside, but something about an entire crowd of people we didn’t know stopping to watch our wedding was just amazing.  It made the whole thing feel really special above and beyond what I expected,” she said.

“Dana and Robert are beautiful together, and they are great people – so sweet, kind, and down to earth. I loved working with them!”
