Secrets from a Housekeeper
Housekeeping experts explain how to get those unforgiving stains out of your favorite bed spread and that pungent smell out of your carpet.
- Rub shampoo and a little water onto the stain on your bed spread and it will take it right out!
- For bad smells, place white vinegar in a bowl and leave it in the room – it will eventually diffuse. This also works great for getting rid of bugs and other pests.
- If you need to remove a carpet stain, first place baking soda on it. Pour white vinegar over it. Not only will this remove the stain, but it will also take away any unwanted smells.
- When cleaning a room, always start from the top and work your way to the bottom of the room. Why? Because dust falls.
