Secrets from a Housekeeper

Housekeeping experts explain how to get those unforgiving stains out of your favorite bed spread and that pungent smell out of your carpet.

  1. Rub shampoo and a little water onto the stain on your bed spread and it will take it right out!
  2. For bad smells, place white vinegar in a bowl and leave it in the room – it will eventually diffuse. This also works great for getting rid of bugs and other pests.
  3. If you need to remove a carpet stain, first place baking soda on it. Pour white vinegar over it. Not only will this remove the stain, but it will also take away any unwanted smells.
  4. When cleaning a room, always start from the top and work your way to the bottom of the room. Why? Because dust falls.
